With the Web of Science (WoS) platform, you can access an unrivalled breadth of world-class research literature linked to a rigorously selected core of journals and uniquely discover new information through meticulously captured metadata and citation connections.

Search with confidence and explore the deep citation connections in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. By availing of a citation index, you can identify the literature having the greatest impact in a discipline.   A paper’s influence is determined by linking to all the papers by which it has been cited.  By this means, current trends, patterns and emerging fields of research may be identified and assessed.

*A note for RESEARCHERS*

Several postgraduate researchers (where email address = firstname.surname@research.gmit.ie) are reporting problems accessing WoS – we apologies for this problem that is beyond @GMITLibraries control. A suggested work around is to use a PC on campus to access WoS and create a personal account which you can then use on your own device on or off campus.

-– Please call into the library and ask for Kathryn if you require assistance in doing this.
