We say goodbye to Teresa Donnellan who retires after many years in Galway City, Dublin Road library. Teresa joined the library in 2007 and catalogued her way through the library’s collections making them searchable for all.
The library staff wish you the very best on your retirement, we will miss your thoughtfulness, friendship, and dedication to your work.
We also bid a fond farewell to Majella King and Eileen Kelly who retired earlier this academic year. Majella, in her role as Assistant Librarian, led the team in Mayo library for many years. While Eileen, in her role as Library Porter, was a well-known face in Galway City, Dublin Road library. We were unable to mark the retirement of our valued colleagues with the traditional celebrations and ceremonies we normally expect and that they deserve, due to Covid.
Great colleagues and great friends, they leave many happy memories behind them. You’ll always be a part of our library family. Good luck with your next adventures and happy retirement!
