Access online information & resources off campus, so you can research and study even when you’re not on campus.
How to Log in / Sign in to ATU Library Galway-Mayo off-campus
If you are a registered ATU Galway-Mayo student, researcher or staff member, it is possible to access all our online information resources from off-campus.
Simply follow links from the Library website and login as directed. Library resources available off-campus include eBooks, electronic journals, theses, online newspapers and past exam papers.
You must have a valid ATU Galway-Mayo computer account to access the library’s resources from off-campus (home, café etc.) or while using a laptop or mobile device on campus.
When you select an online resource you will be prompted to login:
- Students sign in with your ATU email address (G0000XXX@atu.ie), your password is your computer network password (the password you use to log onto a PC on campus).
- Staff sign in with your ATU email address (firstname.lastname@atu.ie), your password is your computer network password (the password you use to log onto a PC on campus).
- Research & Postgraduate Students sign in with your ATU email address (G0000XXX@atu.ie), your password is your computer network password (the password you use to log onto a PC on campus).
- External Members do not have off-campus access.
Access articles through Google Scholar off campus?
- You will firstly need to set up GMIT as your institutional library in the settings in Google Scholar (Go to settings and then Library Links), add “ATU Galway-Mayo”
- Once you have set up ATU Galway-Mayo as your Library, when you do a search you will see “ATU Galway Mayo”, beside content we subscribe to.
- Once you select this link you will be prompted to login.
- Login with your valid ATU Galway-Mayo computer account.
