New JSTOR Database Subscription from Sept 09

The Library is pleased to announce the arrival of the JSTOR Ireland Collection, an invaluable resource containing over 200 monographs and 2,500 manuscript pages across the arts, humanities, and sciences in disciplines such as music, art, history, literature, archaeology, mathematics, and biology. New Gale Cengage Database for GMIT

Academic OneFile, Gale's flagship resource for academic sources is now available through GMIT Libraries. This database provides exceptional coverage of a variety of disciplines including over 11,000 titles, of which almost 4,500 are in full text and 7,500 are refereed. New Ebsco Databases for GMIT

Library.gmit.ie is pleased to announce the availability of 2 new online databases through the IrEL initiative. Both are available to GMIT patrons from January 2009.

Business Source Premier is a database of over 2,300 full-text journals and magazines. It also includes full-text market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles, and SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities & threats) analyses.

Academic Search Premier, designed specifically for academic institutions, is a scholarly, multi-disciplinary full text database containing full text for over 4,600 scholarly publications, including more than 3,500 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,052 journals in the collection.

This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study including: social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and many more.
