Course reserves are collections of material placed in the library by academic staff for viewing within the library only with a current ID card. The Course Reserves facility is also used for retrieving past Exam Papers for your course.

Course reserves allow the library to have complete control over access and usage of reserve materials. When a lecturer has required readings for a specific class, they may place the material (books or notes) "on reserve" at any of the campuses'. Reserve materials are checked out for 3 hours at a time. This lending period gives everyone in the class the opportunity to review the material.

"Reserves" are found at the circulation desk at all GMIT campuses.

Patrons may search course reserves using either the lecturer's or course name, or using the school name for Exam Papers.
