The Library currently holds approximately 100,000 volumes, the majority of which are for general loan. However, some volumes are for use in the library only (marked Desk Reserve or Reference) and those in high demand are available for period of 24 hours only (Short Loan)

All books (excluding fiction titles, which are shelved alphabetically by author) are shelved in subject order according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. (see Arrangement).

New book titles are displayed in the entrance area of the main Dublin Rd. library. These books can be borrowed by taking them to the issue desk.
